National Epilepsy Week – 17th – 23rd May, 2015

National Epilepsy Week16th – 23rd May, is an opportunity to raise awareness about the condition at all levels of society.
During the week we will be involved in Epilepsy Consortium Scotland activities at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh; providing a table with information and opportunity for discussion and also delivering short 1st aid introductory training presentations on Wednesday & Thursday. This will also involve an interview with people who experience personal effects of epilepsy.

We are also planning the following events, locally, as well:

– Monday 18th May – an information stall will be will be set up and staffed by the Group in the main entrance area of Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride. Please come along and make yourself known, if you are looking for information about the Group, about epilepsy or if you would just like to show your support.
– Friday 22nd – a garden party will be held at 27, Brendon Avenue, Lindsayfield, East Kilbride, G75 9GT, the home of one of our committee members. please come along, or drop in, between 12.00 noon and 2.00pm, for light refreshments and take the opportunity to support us and chat informally about what we do and what we stand for.
