Purple Day – Sunday 26th March 2017

Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. You can find out about the support and events going on around the world by visiting the website www.purpleday.org

So, what will you be doing to raise awareness of epilepsy on Purple Day?

In Lanarkshire, people have been sharing their ideas and plans for Purple Day. These include:

  • wearing something purple
  • sharing knowledge about epilepsy with one new person
  • baking purple cupcakes for a school awareness session (Sanderson High School, East Kilbride)
  • cycling to Balloch (Free Wheel North and Breeze network Scotland)
  • tobogganing (children’s activities with Epilepsy Connections)
  • dancing to Prince songs
  • visiting the Kelpies in Falkirk, and other public buildings and venues that will be lit up in purple

Please share your ideas and plans for Purple Day – we’d love to hear from you.
